Maryrose Sciarrillo

Maryrose Sciarrillo was born in Toronto to parents who immigrated to Canada from Italy. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, with a double major in Psychology and Italian studies. She takes a strong interest in Settlement and Immigration issues, and has volunteered for 5 years as a group facilitator helping people discuss their settlement issues while practicing their English. Maryrose is a Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) certified instructor, and has taught different levels of adults/exchange students or prospective immigrants wishing to learn English.

Maryrose also tutors and prepares potential immigrants for the IELTS or CELPIP English language tests in her spare time. She has also worked with the Peel International Education Alliance, tutoring and assisting a study program with groups of adults from Korea – an experience that was beyond rewarding. Now she works with Stefano Pileggi and Make it Canada helping many immigrants reach their goal of living and working in Canada.
