Express Entry
As of January 2015, Immigration Canada developed a new system to manage how people can apply to immigrate to Canada. They have called it “Express Entry” (EE).
The EE system is a three stage process where interested applicants first submit their personal info or profile online. This profile will determine your score on the “Comprehensive Ranking System” (CRS).
The second stage Immigration Canada will assess the profile against specific criteria. The applicants who have been determined to have met the eligibility criteria are then entered into a pool of candidates.
The third step will be the “Invitation to Apply” (ITA). Immigration Canada will make the decision if a candidate will receive an ITA based upon the candidates score on the CRS. Only candidates who receive an ITA can apply for permanent residence.
